Two weeks in.

Beach, heat, barbecue's, fireworks, friends, and those late summer nights. Those are some things that probably come to mind when you think of summer. For me, however, I usually think about quiet, lazy, hot, humid, boring, and uneventful summers. Without a license, I seem to miss out on hanging out with friends. But then again, I have no friends to hang out with in my hometown. This could be just my own imagination but then again if I did have friends why do they not ask to hang out? Anyways, I'm over that. I don't care anymore since I have tried to keep friendships but keeping a friendship going works both ways and all I can do is wait for them. I prayed that I would have a friend who I can really call "best friend" and I found three! Downfall to that though is that they are on the other side of the state. But it's ok, I'm surviving. This summer I will be heading to California and that is the big trip of the summer and the only thing I look forward to. One thing I really want to do is take a train trip, on the Amtrak, to visit my friends. The trip is about 17 hours and cost roughly $157 (definitely affordable!). I would love to see the state this way and taking the trip by myself is one way to experience life as an adult once more. On a side note, I wish I had this big plan in mind to do something everyday of my summer to make it worth while but eh, nothing has come up. I'm holding out on that one thing to make my summer productive! Well that's all for now. Maybe in the next blog I'll have some thing more exciting to say.
